July 15, 2018: Short but Sweet this Week

Hello Everyone! Xin Chào Mọi Người!

Sorry that this is not a long email this week, but there are a couple of pictures!

Here are just a couple of miracles that happened: The person we have been teaching about the church, Anh Quang, passed his baptismal interview this past Saturday, and has his baptismal date for July 28, 2018! My companion and I got to visit my family this past Sunday, and we invited them to come to Sacrament Meeting on Sunday (the church building is about a 10-15 minute bike ride from their house). My cousin will be coming to church next Sunday!

I hope you all have a great week!

Love,
Elder Ly (Anh Cả Dũng)

July 2018: New Mission President! Welcome President and Sister Chiles!

Hello Everyone! Xin Chào Mọi Người!

I'm sorry that it's been so long since I've sent out a group email. but I've got some good pictures!

One miracle that happened this week: Our investigator, Anh Quang, had a date for August 4, 2018 (my birthday), but we talked to him about being ready earlier, and he chose a new date for July 28, 2018! He is progressing really well, accepts our commitments to follow the Commandments, and he is currently in the Book of Alma in the Book of Mormon!

New Mission President: We recently got a new Mission President and wife, President and Sister Chiles. Just a little information on them: They are Canadian, and interestingly enough, President Chiles served a Vietnamese speaking Mission in Louisiana when he was a young missionary! They brought their 16 year old son to Vietnam, and their dog as well!

Testimony Time:
I am so grateful for the change and transformation that can come because of our Savior Jesus Christ. I learned this from my companion about the qualities of the Atonement of Jesus Christ: C stands for Cleansing, H stands for Healing, R stands for Redeeming, I stands for I understand (as in Christ understands), S stands for Sanctifying, and T stands for Transforming. That spells out Christ! I invite each of you to remember the change and transformation that has come to your life because Jesus Christ atoned for you.

Picture Time:
