I am a District Leader now!

Hello Everyone! Xin Chào Mọi Người!

I apologize that it has been so long since I've sent out a good group email! Hopefully I can start to improve and get better with it.

This week was really awesome, because the BYU singers group came here to Vietnam to perform! We went to one of the performances, and one of our investigators, Anh Dũng, came as well.
We actually met Anh Dũng at a park, and some weeks later, he came to our free English Class! We also got him to start learning about the church as well!

This transfer, I have a wonderful privilege of having a leadership role in the mission, District Leader. It will be a wonderful opportunity for me to love and serve these missionaries in the district and to learn a lot as well. There was a leadership training this last week, and I wanted to share something that I learned: in leadership, you have ministering and administering. Administering is like organizing and putting stuff together for meetings and stuff like that (organizing the details of things). Ministering is when you get to know the people you are serving and really love and help them. Both are important in leadership, but ministering will have the greatest impact. That is truly when you get to know, love, and serve the people that you are called to serve. This is truly what being a leader is all about!

Testimony Time:
I would like to share my testimony today about God's Love for us and prayer. One of the very first principles that we teach investigators is that God is ourlLoving Heavenly Father, and that we can communicate with Him through sincere prayer. But, do we truly realize the significance of this very simple principle? It is truly a blessing that we can talk with our Father in Heaven anytime through sincere prayer. God's love for us is perfect, and He wants to hear from each and every one of His children. Whenever you are struggling, scared, in need of comfort or counsel, or just want to talk with your Father in Heaven, don't forget to pray. Heavenly Father answers our sincere prayers. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
